In today’s concert, Lucas makes not only his debut with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra at the Mozart Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus, but also his first public appearance as a conductor: He leads the second movement of Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 94 (Surprise Symphony) and subsequently performs as soloist in the first movement of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik, KV 525, in a version for piano and strings.
In 2024, he made his orchestral debut with the Philharmonic of Brașov in Romania under the baton of Ovidiu Marinescu. In 2025, he will perform with the Manchester Youth Orchestra, with concerts in Paris, Berlin, and Rome planned for 2026.
